Area of Research: Gene Therapy for Breast Cancer
Focus: Immune-mediated Gene Therapy & Cancer Vaccines

Developing A Vaccine To Protect Against Breast Cancer
This project is focused on developing a vaccine that harnesses the body's immune system to seek out and eliminate minimal residual disease in women with breast cancer and to wipe out any microscopic cancer deposits that may have spread to other parts of the body. Current studies are designed to understand the role of anti-body in facilitating the response to vaccination. The goal is to translate the resulting data into clinical applications as rapidly as possible. As our understanding of the immune response to tumors increases, I believe we will be able to translate that potential into clinical benefit.
