John L. Lahey is the eighth President of Quinnipiac University, a private university located in Hamden, Connecticut. Prior to his appointment in 1987, he was Executive Vice President of Marist College where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Upon his arrival at Quinnipiac, Dr. Lahey initiated a strategic planning process, leading to the University's growth including increasing the annual budget from $20 million to $143 million and increasing student enrollment by over 200 percent.

Also, John L. Lahey is Director, UIL Holdings Corporation, The United Illuminating Company, Yale New Haven Hospital, The American Bar Association Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, The NYC Saint Patrick's Day Parade, Inc. and The Aristotle Corporation.

Mr. Lahey holds undergraduate and master's degrees in philosophy from the University of Dayton; a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Miami and second master's degree in higher education administration from Columbia University.
