Diane Wassman Darst, Ph.D.
Vice President
Board of Directors of the United Way of Greenwich.
Diane Wassman Darst is a summa cum laude graduate from Connecticut College and holds a Ph.D. in European Cultural and Intellectual History from Columbia University where she received a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship.  She is the author of two books, Western Civilization to l648 (McGraw-Hill, l990) and Learning to Look, A Complete Art History and Art Appreciation Program for Grades K-8 (Prentice Hall, l992), and has been a regular columnist on art history for children in Instructor Magazine.

In the community, Ms. Darst is a past trustee of Greenwich Academy and member of the Board of its Parents Association, past chairman of the Friends of the Greenwich Library, and past president of the Greenwich Library Board of Trustees. Ms. Darst served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Greenwich from 2005 to 2007 and is currently Co-Chairman of the Bruce Museum.
